2009 Mowing Season

Doug Kiesel, Nick Rosenow and Doug Martin

Another mowing season at Carstens Farm has come to an end.

Each year, we have a great group of guys who generously donate their time and efforts in helping keep up the Farm.  These guys bring their mowers, weed eaters and senses of humor and go to work on the yard.  Within a couple of hours, they turn off their mowers and lay their weed eaters down to partake of whatever treats get donated by some of the wives and sit around and visit.

A big thank you to all of the mowers!

You make a world of difference to the Farm!

And to the wives who supply the treats, the guys always have fun seeing what “no calorie-good-for-you” (yeah, right!) treats they get to have.   Your contributions are always welcome, greatly anticipated and greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

We wrapped up the mowing season by getting together those guys who mowed during the 2009 season and serving them and their wives dinner at the Farm.  This gave everyone a chance to sit around and chat after mowing.  A good time was had by all.
