The Fall Clean Up Day at Carstens Farm was held on Sunday, August 30, 2009.It was a beautiful afternoon to be at the Farm.We had quite a few volunteers turn up to help trim the trees, pick up sticks and limbs, rake leaves and debris from the yard and the flower beds and to clean the place up.A lot of hard work and a couple of hours later, the whole place took on a different look.
We certainly appreciate the volunteers who give so freely of their time and help with this project.Although this is a lot of hard work, it is also a lot of fun to be able to work together and to visit with the other volunteers. The treats that are provided afterward are a great way to be able to catch our breaths and visit.
During the year, the weeds have a way of taking over, the trees outgrow their spaces and need to be spruced up, and the whole farm in general needs a good clean up.
