The Adopt-A-Building Program is a way for individuals, families, organizations, churches and businesses to support the maintenance of the buildings on Carstens 1880 Farmstead.Buildings can be adopted as a project for individuals and groups, for themselves or in honor of friends and loved ones.
With a house and many buildings on the Farm, the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings on Carstens 1880 Farmstead is an on-going struggle.While we are continually applying for grants to provide the Farm with the income needed to maintain the buildings, finding enough people to perform the work required for these projects is often a challenge.Meanwhile, the buildings continue to deteriorate each year.
